FAQ
-
NimHunt is a geofaucet-style mini-app on the Nimiq blockchain. People can create NIM-funded geographic spots, and other users can visit those locations to claim a reward.
-
Yes! Collecting NIM from spots is free: users do not pay to make a claim or enter a prizedraw. Only spot creators spend NIM when they fund and publish their spots.
-
Yes. NimHunt is designed to run inside Nimiq Pay. Public spots can be viewed in an ordinary browser, but creating spots and claiming rewards require Nimiq Pay to identify your device and handle payments.
-
Your location is necessary to confirm that you are inside a spot's designated area when you claim its reward. Keeping precise location enabled makes those checks more reliable.
-
Open the Find Spots page, choose a spot, travel within its area, and press the claim button. It's that simple! Some spots may also require you to remain there for a set time or to enter a secret code.
-
A prizedraw is a special type of spot that registers valid participants until it closes. It then randomly selects a number of winners. Successfully entering a prizedraw does not guarantee that you will receive a prize.
-
A creator may protect a spot with one-time-use codes. The creator decides how these codes are distributed, so you will need to obtain one from them before you make your claim.
